UYO-The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, Baba Azare, has commended the 600 police officers from the Command who participated in the 2026 election duties in Osun State, for their exemplary conduct, professionalism, discipline, dedication, and unwavering commitment to duty.
The commissioner gave the commendation today, during the presentation of Certificates of Commendation to the officers in recognition of their outstanding performance and service during the election assignment in Osun State.
Azare, while presenting the certificates, described the officers’ conduct throughout the electoral assignment as a reflection of the professionalism, discipline, and commitment expected of personnel of the Nigeria Police Force.
He noted that their ability to discharge their responsibilities effectively, professionally, and in accordance with the law contributed significantly to the successful execution of their mandate.
The commissioner further appreciated the officers for representing the Akwa Ibom State Police Command with dignity and distinction, urging them to sustain the same level of professionalism, discipline, impartiality, and respect for the rule of law in all future assignments.
He emphasized that the recognition was not only a reward for their individual efforts but also an encouragement to other officers to remain dedicated to duty and uphold the core values of the Nigeria Police Force at all times.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, a Chief Superintendent of Police,Soberekon Bamson appreciated the commissioner of Police for the recognition and the Certificates of Commendation awarded to the officers.
Bamson who described the gesture as a great source of encouragement and motivation to the officers, noted that the recognition would further strengthen their resolve to continue serving with dedication, professionalism, discipline, and integrity.
He pledged, on behalf of the officers, their continued commitment to the effective discharge of their constitutional responsibilities and assured the Commissioner that they would continue to uphold the good image of the Nigeria Police Force in every assignment entrusted to them.
The commendation which was contained in a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer , Timfon John , said the Command remains committed to recognising excellence, rewarding professionalism, and motivating its personnel to continually uphold the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and service to the nation.
