Prince Enefiok Ededem Ndon

Enefiok Ndon is a seasoned journalist of 26 years experience.
His journalism journey began in his childhood days where he always read everything that came his way and listened to news ,a period when parents would not allow their children to touch radio.
He was admirer of public relations practice, and had dreamt to become one, not knowing that he would end up in a related profession (journalism).
For him, journalism practice is a passion and he does it diligently and relentlessly.
During his days at primary school in the then Cross River State, he did not miss editions of the Nigerian Chronicle Newspaper,as he would try to get to the community junction to catch a glimpse of the newspaper, just as he could not afford a copy.
In all these, he did not realize that he was reputed to be a journalist,but today that early sign had manifested .
Ndon cut his teeth in journalism practice in the year 2000, at Unique Health Magazine in Lagos , and the following year, he joined an Uyo-based tabloid, FACTS Weekly , where he was posted the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly as a correspondent.
He joined the services of the Akwa Ibom Newspaper Corporation (AKNC) , publishers of The Pioneer titles in 2010, as a senior reporter and rose to the position of Assistant Chief Official Reporter.
At the Corporation,he was vested with several responsibilities, including investigative stories and was not found wanting.
Having distinguished himself in the practice,he was posted to the Akwa Ibom State Government House (Deputy Governor’s Office in 2012.He was reposted to the office in 2019,and handed both health and sports desks of The Pion eer titles (The Pioneer, Mid-week Pioneer and Weekend Pioneer). Ndon attended The Polytechnic, Ile Ife, Osun State ,he obtained Ordinary Diploma in Journalism (OND) ,Mass Communications and the Times Journalism Institute, Lagos, where he got Advanced Diploma in Journalism.
He is a member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists( NUJ), and the had been vice -chairman and secretary of The Pioneer Chapel of the NUJ. Ndon is also a member of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Akwa Ibom Chapter,which he held sway as financial secretary,He was honoured for an outstanding feature story on HIV/ AIDS by the National Agency for the Control of AIDS( NACA) ,South-South Zonal Office in 2021, which was duly acknowledged by the management of the AKNC.
Ndon had received a commendation for dedication to duty and hard work with a reward from the management of the Akwa Ibom Newspaper Corporation in 2025.So far, the publisher had attended several workshops,some which are: HIV Media Advocacy Workshops and Skills Building organized by the National Agency for the Control of AIDS at Calabar, Yenagoa,Port Harcourt, Asaba and in Uyo .
He participated in the 2019 Journalism Retool House on Conflict Sensitivity Reportage and Constructive Engagement with the State Actors organized by the Next Edition Centre for Investigative Journalism, and Gender Advocacy; Intensive Course in Editorial Training organized by MayFive Media Limited; Strategic Media Advocacy Workshop on Family Planning by The Challenge Initiative (TCI).and Strategic Engagement and Skills Building for Health Journalists and Producers organized by the Breakthrough Action Nigeria ( BAN). He contributed materials for the” Prints of a Princess” ,a publication in honour of the former Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom, Noble Lady Valerie Ebe. He is a devout Christian and worships with the Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel).
Ndon is a personality imbued with the fear of God and passion to serve humanity. He is happily married with four children.
