The Member representing Itu-Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ime Bassey Okon, has received campaign materials donated by the Ime Mbre Humanitarian Foundation to support his second-term election campaign.
The presentation was made last Saturday, at the Itu-Ibiono Ibom Constituency Office by the Director of the Ime Mbre Humanitarian Foundation, Mr. Ime Archibong.
“By way of giving our support to your second-term election, on behalf of the Ime Mbre Humanitarian Foundation, I present these materials to you towards your campaign. We hope this contribution will add to the advancement of your campaign and garner the needed support for your second-term bid,” Archibong said.
Archibong, who was represented at the presentation by the head of grassroots mobilisation of the organisation, Prince Inem Thomas, promised that the foundation would continue to identify with and provide the necessary support to the lawmaker as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate during and after the elections.
Receiving the items, Okon appreciated the gesture and acknowledged the support of the Ime Mbre Humanitarian Foundation towards his election campaign.
He said the campaign materials would go a long way in boosting the resources available for the campaign. Okon also hoped that the materials would help mobilise votes and support for the success of the Itu-Ibiono Ibom Unity Project in 2027.
He further solicited support for all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections, from the presidency and governorship to the Senate and House of Assembly positions.
Those who witnessed the presentation included the vice chairman of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Council, Hon. Mercy Obot; chapter chairman of the APC in Ibiono Ibom , Comrade. Ime Ikpong; deputy director-general of the Itu-Ibiono Ibom Unity Project, Hon. Umoh Ekop; Secretary of the Itu-Ibiono Ibom Unity Project, Mr Dominic Udoatan, an engineer; Mr Edet Ikotidem, a lawyer ,among others.
