UYO-The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, CP Baba Azare, has paid a thank-you visit to the Chairman of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area.
This is in appreciation of his exceptional support, cooperation and commitment to the activities of the Nigeria Police Force within the Local Government Area.
During the visit, the Commissioner appreciated the Chairman, Hon. Edidiong Inyang for his consistent partnership with the Police, noting that his support goes beyond providing assistance to enable the Police discharge its statutory responsibilities.
A release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Timfon John, DSP, said the Commissioner particularly commended the Chairman for his uncommon commitment to security, stressing that the he does not only support Police operations but, on several occasions, personally accompany Police officers to operational grounds, demonstrating his determination to ensure the safety and security of the people of Ibesikpo Asutan.
Azare described such commitment as a practical demonstration of responsible leadership and an example of the kind of partnership required between the Police, government and communities for effective policing.
Following the visit, the Chairman accompanied the Commissioner of Police to the Ibesikpo Asutan Divisional Police Station, where they interacted with officers and men and inspected facilities at the station.
The visit further underscored the strong partnership between the Akwa Ibom State Police Command and the Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Council, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to sustaining peace, supporting effective policing and ensuring the safety of residents.
Responding, Inyang appreciated the Commissioner of Police for the visit and commended his leadership and commitment to maintaining peace and security across Akwa Ibom .
He assured the Command of his continued support, cooperation and active participation in efforts aimed at combating crime and protecting lives and property in Ibesikpo Asutan and the state at large.
